Introducing Table View: A Game-Changer for PR Database Power Users

We're excited to announce a powerful new feature that will transform how you work with your journalist contacts: Table View for the PR Database.

Why We Built Table View

After listening to feedback from our most active users, we noticed a common pattern: PR professionals who manage large lists of journalists needed a way to quickly scan through hundreds of contacts, compare information side-by-side, and make rapid decisions about who to reach out to.

While our existing Grid and List views are perfect for browsing and detailed review, we realized there was a need for a more compact, data-dense view that prioritizes information density and scanning speed.

What Makes Table View Special?

1. See More, Scroll Less

Table View displays up to 96 journalists per page (compared to 24 in grid view), meaning you can review 4x more contacts without pagination. Perfect for those moments when you're building a comprehensive media list and need to see the big picture.

2. Compare at a Glance

With all key information organized in columns, it's easier than ever to:

  • Compare job titles across publications
  • Spot verified email addresses instantly (look for the ✓)
  • Identify journalists by expertise tags
  • See which contacts are already in your lists

3. Compact Yet Complete

Every row includes:

  • Profile Image with publication favicon fallback
  • Journalist Name and list membership
  • Publication with recognizable favicon
  • Job Title with smart text wrapping
  • Email Addresses (masked for privacy, with verification badges)
  • Expertise Tags (top 2 shown, with count)
  • List Membership indicators
  • Quick Actions (notes, favorites, add to list, and more)

4. Privacy-First Email Display

Emails are automatically masked (e.g., john.d***@example.com) to protect privacy while browsing, but clicking the copy button gives you the full, real email address. Verified emails are marked with a green checkmark ✓.

5. Responsive & Smooth

The table is horizontally scrollable on smaller screens, with sticky columns (checkbox and actions) that stay visible as you scroll. The entire experience is fast and fluid, even with 96 contacts loaded.

Perfect For:

  • Building Large Media Lists: Quickly scan through hundreds of journalists to find the right contacts
  • Comparative Research: Compare multiple journalists' backgrounds, expertise, and publications side-by-side
  • Bulk Operations: Select multiple journalists at once for batch operations
  • Quick Reference: Get all the key information you need without opening individual profiles
  • Database Management: Review and maintain your contact database efficiently

How to Use Table View

  1. Navigate to your PR Database
  2. Look for the view controls in the top toolbar
  3. Click the table icon to switch to Table View
  4. Click any row to open the full journalist profile
  5. Use the action buttons to add notes, manage favorites, or add to lists

Smart Defaults

We've optimized the default settings for each view:

  • Grid View: 24 per page (perfect for detailed browsing)
  • List View: 48 per page (balanced approach)
  • Table View: 96 per page (maximum efficiency)
