Versha Sharma

Versha Sharma is an award-winning journalist and editor-in-chief of Teen Vogue since 2021, where she leads coverage of politics, culture, and social justice through youth perspectives. A first-generation Indian American born in Louisiana (c. 1986), she graduated from Centenary College with a political science degree and began her career covering the 2008 Obama campaign. She rose through digital media as managing editor at NowThis (2015-2021), earning a 2018 Edward R. Murrow Award for her Hurricane Maria documentary in Puerto Rico. Sharma has interviewed four U.S. presidents and cultural icons like Oprah, while championing diversity through board roles at the Online News Association and International Women’s Media Foundation.
