Soaliha Iqbal

Soaliha Iqbal is an Australian freelance journalist and podcast host with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications (Journalism) from UNSW and five years of experience in Australian media. Born in Sierra Leone and raised in Gambia before moving to Australia as a teenager, she has become a prominent voice on intersectional feminism, anti-capitalism, and social justice issues. Her work spans outlets like Mamamia, PEDESTRIAN.TV, Kotaku, SBS Voices, and Shameless Media, covering politics, entertainment, cultural trends, and race relations. She was nominated for Young Writer of the Year at the 2023 Mumbrella Publish Awards.
