Seigonie Mohammed

Seigonie Mohammed is a Trinidadian journalist whose career spans meteorology and broadcast journalism. She began as a meteorological technician at the Trinidad and Tobago Met Office after earning a scholarship to study meteorology at the Caribbean Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology. Transitioning to journalism in 2013, she joined CNC3 Television as a meteorologist reporter where she spent over five years analyzing weather data and presenting forecasts while expanding into environmental reporting. Mohammed later became a Senior Multimedia Journalist and Weather Anchor at CCN TV6, specializing in climate science and environmental journalism. In September 2024, she joined Trinidad and Tobago Television (TTT) as Senior News Anchor and Lead Producer, marking a shift to general news reporting. She holds a journalism degree from COSTAATT's Ken Gordon School of Journalism and completed the Oxford Climate Journalism Network program in 2022.
