Scott Kollins

Dr. Scott Kollins is a licensed clinical psychologist and digital health veteran with over 25 years of experience spanning academia and industry. He currently serves as Chief Medical Officer at Aura, appointed in August 2024, where he leads the development of next-generation youth online safety tools and digital parenthood insights. Previously, he served as CMO for Akili, Inc., where he led the creation of the first FDA-approved digital therapeutic for ADHD, and as CMO for Holmusk, Inc., focusing on real-world evidence in mental health. He maintains an adjunct professor position at Duke University School of Medicine, where he was previously a tenured professor leading mental health research and clinical initiatives. Dr. Kollins has published over 200 scientific papers, secured more than $30 million in research funding, and served as principal investigator on over 40 industry-funded clinical trials. He holds a mid-career K24 award from NIDA and is an elected member of the College on Problems of Drug Dependence and the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology. His expertise spans ADHD research, digital therapeutics, substance abuse intersection with ADHD, and adolescent technology interaction.
