Marion Brooks is an award-winning anchor and reporter at NBC 5 Chicago, joining the station in 1998. She currently anchors the 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekday newscasts and won recognition for her investigative series *Survivor's Project* on sexual violence survivors, earning Regional Edward R. Murrow and Silver Dome Awards. With a career spanning radio in Atlanta, TV markets in Mississippi Delta, Jacksonville, St. Louis, and Atlanta, she's covered natural disasters, politics, health, and Olympic Games. Brooks holds a BA in English from Spelman College and has received honors from NATAS, National Emmy Awards, and the Chicago Association of Black Journalists. Stefan Holt, son of NBC News anchor Lester Holt, anchors NBC Chicago's 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 10 p.m. newscasts. A Chicago native and Pepperdine University graduate, he returned to WMAQ-TV in 2020 after anchoring at WNBC New York. His career began at WPBF West Palm Beach before joining NBC Chicago in 2011. JC Navarrete, bilingual reporter and Sunday anchor since 2022, brings experience from KVIA El Paso where he worked as anchor/reporter and producer. The UTEP journalism graduate emphasizes community-focused storytelling and Chicago cultural immersion.
