About James Obrien

James O'Brien (born 1972) is a British broadcaster and author who has hosted LBC's weekday morning phone-in program since 2004. A philosophy and economics graduate from LSE, he began his career editing the Daily Express gossip column under the pseudonym William Hickey before transitioning to broadcasting. Notable career highlights include occasional presenting on BBC's Newsnight (2014-2018), hosting ITV's chat show 'O'Brien' (2015), and creating LBC's popular 'Mystery Hour' segment. His confrontational 2009 interview with footballer Frank Lampard earned a Sony Radio Award nomination.
