Gabi Thorne

Gabi Thorne (full name Gabriela Thorne) is a multimedia journalist specializing in beauty, culture, and social justice. She graduated from Harvard University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in African American Studies and minors in Women’s Studies and Spanish. From March 2019 to November 2023, she worked at Allure magazine, starting as an Editorial Assistant and advancing to Associate News Editor. In this role, she covered beauty through cultural and entertainment lenses. Prior to Allure, she was a 2017-2018 Student Writing Fellow for The Nation, where she published articles on education equity, mental healthcare disparities for students of color, and Latinx identity politics. Her career demonstrates a consistent focus on intersectional perspectives, particularly regarding marginalized communities.
