Emma Dabiri

Emma Dabiri is an Irish-Nigerian academic, author, and broadcaster with a distinguished career spanning academia, literature, and media. Born in Dublin to an Irish mother and Nigerian Yoruba father, she spent her early childhood in Atlanta before returning to Ireland at age four. Dabiri's academic foundation includes over a decade as a teaching fellow in SOAS's African Studies department and current PhD research in Visual Sociology at Goldsmiths, focusing on mixed-race experiences. Her groundbreaking 2019 book *Don't Touch My Hair* established her as a leading voice on racial politics and Black hair culture, followed by the *Sunday Times* bestseller *What White People Can Do Next*.
