Emily Burt

Emily Burt is a journalist specializing in the charity and nonprofit sector, currently serving as Editor of Third Sector. She joined Third Sector in May 2019 as Deputy Editor after working as Senior Staff Writer at People Management, Haymarket's HR publication. During her tenure at Third Sector, Burt transformed the publication's long-form features content and played a key role in its recent rebranding. Her career with Haymarket began in 2015, and she was recognized in 2019 in the PPA’s 30 Under 30 New Talent list for journalistic excellence. Beyond traditional journalism, Burt co-founded Fumble (2016), a digital sex education resource that became a registered charity in 2020.
