Abby Weiss

Abby Weiss is an environmental reporter at Chestnut Hill Local, a 66-year-old award-winning community newspaper serving Northwest Philadelphia. She joined the publication in May 2025 as part of the Report for America program, focusing on environmental issues impacting public health, safety, and quality of life. Weiss holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Syracuse University, where she minored in environmental science and history, and served as digital managing editor for The Daily Orange student newspaper.
